The Exchange Visitor Program (EVP) brings scholars, researchers, professors and specialists to the United States for educational and cultural exchange purposes.  The goal of the EVP is to increase mutual understanding between people from the United States and other countries.

Our staff at the Center for Global Education is here to support Boise State University’s scholar community, including host departments.  We can help with any questions you have about adjustment to life in the United States.  Additionally, we are your resource on immigration matters.

We welcome scholars from all over the world to enhance learning and research through temporary, collaborative activities with our university.  The typical visa for this activity is the J-1 visa.  International faculty, staff, researchers, or post-doctoral students can apply to attend the Global Scholars Academy.  Please click here for more information regarding the Academy and application process. In other cases, a specific academic department supports and hosts a visiting scholar.  You can learn more about the departments at Boise State, including areas of teaching and research, by accessing department websites.  A full list of Boise State academic departments can be found here.

If you are interested in learning more about the J-1 Scholar program at Boise State University then please visit our International Visiting Scholars webpage.
