ISSS – Transferring Credits from Other Universities

About the Transfer Credit Process

The process of how academic credits are evaluated depends on several factors, including whether your credits were earned at a U.S. institution or a non-U.S. institution.  Your transcript will only be evaluated for transfer credit after you have been admitted to Boise State University.  You may find some useful guidelines on the transfer credit process by reading through the Registrar’s Transfer Equivalency Guide (U.S. institutions only).   If you have completed the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree then your credits may not be evaluated for transfer credit.

After you have received your admission to Boise State University as an international student, the Admissions Office forwards your transcripts to the Registrar’s Office for transfer credit evaluation.  Once the report is complete the results are posted to your my.BoiseState account.  If you have questions about your evaluation, please contact the Registrar’s Office at or (208) 426-4249.  We also recommend that you look at the Registrar’s Office Transfer Equivalency Guide.
