I have been in Costa Rica less than 24 hours and I enjoy it so much already. My Spanish is not quite as bad as I thought. I had conversations of at least a few sentences with most people I have met so far. I am so happy to be able to learn and practice more for the next few weeks. I was able to order breakfast Costa Rican style (beans, rice, eggs, and fruit).
While eating, the Costa Rican version of the “Today Show” was on and there was a nutritionist giving portion sizes using food models. What a comfortable way to start the day.
And it has only gotten better from there. I took a walk into town and now I am doing work poolside at my hotel before I head to San Ramon this evening to meet my host family.
